We're gearing up!!

Looks like Sam is actually going to retire after this school year. So.......come summer of 2010 we'll start doing some art shows again! We expect to be at Ann Arbor and Tawas for sure, not sure how many more we'll do as we plan to ENJOY this retirement, not just work through it!

New Gallery added

Just a quick note to let everyone know we are participating in a 2-man exhibition at Gallery 194 in Lapeer, MI. This show is scheduled to open August 12 and run until Sept. 27th. Sam will be on hand August 16 to demonstrate "throwing" on the wheel from 1pm to 6pm. Stop by and say "Hi". (And wish Sam a "Happy 60th" as his birthday is coming up Sept. 2nd.) After the show closes, we expect to continue to carry a line of his functional ware in their gift show.

Accidents Do Happen!!

It was 41" high, 140#, and he was getting ready to take it up a little higher. He lost his balance and accidently stepped on the accelerator pedal of the wheel. The pot took off!
