It was 41" high, 140#, and he was getting ready to take it up a little higher. He lost his balance and accidently stepped on the accelerator pedal of the wheel. The pot took off!

I hope to keep you updated as to where "our" artwork can be found--galleries, artshows, etc. In my comments, I will frequently refer to "our" art work, but really, I'm only the moral support behind Sam! He does EVERYTHING. He throws the clay, carves the sculptures, designs his own "signature" handles, and glazes the pieces,some of which have up to 6 layers of glazes. I do mix our glazes, usually in 20 to 30 gallon batches and help load the kilns. I also have recently learned how to fire the 3 kilns--but only because they are now controlled by computer and I am a little more comfortable working with computers and can type faster! (Suits me as, personally, I can't stand the feel of wet clay!)
